Wing Leading Edge and Stall Warning

Writer's picture: Matt DeCraeneMatt DeCraene

One of the first steps of assembling the left wing leading edge is getting the components for the stall warning horn installed. The instructions were a little confusing for this since the skin was pre-cut for the access panel, and all of the panels were predrilled. Really, the only tasks here were to cut apart the nose rib, and drill and file open the slot for the switch tab.

It took a little more muscle to get the leading edge ribs into the skin, but they are all clecoed and ready to install on the spar after I pull the bottom wing skins back off.

Here, you can see the slot filed and the support rib for the stall warning assembly.
