Canopy and fairings

A set of sanding blocks that I ordered came today.

I trimmed some more, likely this won't be completely necessary once the canopy is if to match the two parts.

Leslie helped me stretch the canopy between two trees with a ratchet strap. We measured the stretched dimension so we could tell if we stretched it further or not. It springs back significantly when the strap is released.

Here is the final trim I ended up with .

Leslie helped me clean up all of the aluminum dust.

The canopy fits the fuselage pretty well at this point.

Let me know if you need any help with grunt work or even small items.

Sure. One of these weekends I need to put the canopy on and off a bunch of times. We have been pretty busy between work and family stuff so I have not made much progress. I’ll text you at some point.

Impressive. Looks like you are rolling along with the structure. Wondering where you are with the engine and planning for seats, flight instruments and avionics.
