Top Wing Skins

Today a started fitting the top wing skins. I started by cutting the wing walk stiffener to size with a pair of snips. The build manual is a little confusing where it talks about how much the stiffener overhangs the spar. The basic conclusion is to cut it to length and go from there. The 1 inch overhang that the manual talks about is from the spar web, not the edge of the flange.

After that, the skins went on pretty easy, all the time spent on straigthening the ribs helps these line up properly.

This picture just shows the ribs sitting against the rib flange.

After fitting this, I began match drilling the skins, starting with the top skins, and continuing to the bottom.

I also pulled the leading edge skin out of storage and dropped it in the cradle in preparation for fitting the leading edge ribs./
