I drilled the doublers to the rear spar. I had to straighten the large think forked doublers, as they had a bow to then, but this was pretty easy on a vice.
I also identified where the stiffeners from an AD go. The instructions are for a completed airframe, but putting them on now will be pretty easy.
I then proceeded to open up the hole for the pushrod. I started with a uni bit, then finished with a file in the vice first. Then I mounted it back to the spar and match filled the openings together to finish it off. Getting them to match perfectly is probably not necessary, but it looks nicer.
