I finally finished up de-burring all of the wing ribs. Now I can move on to fluting to straighten the ribs and squaring up the flanges.
I took some pictures to show the effects of the fluting work. Essentially, the flange has to be shrank since the it is now a shorter length than it was originally. This pulls the sheet metal in different directions.
Here is a rib prior to fluting. You can see the first few holes aligned with the straight edge, which then twist away from straight.
After fluting the rivet holes are pulled back in line.
The other effect of the stamping and fluting process, is the flanges end up not square. They go from this:

Another way to look at these effects is to look at the rib flat on a table. This picture shows it partly straightened.
