Today I worked on control rod assemblies while I am waiting on parts for the SB . First, I clecoed and drilled the bell crank.

next I started on the pushrod tubes. This one comes welded from Van’s. All I needed to do was thread the rod ends in.

Next, I drilled and riveted the large pushrod for the elevator. Van’s recommends assembling this before paint since the pit can be difficult. I didn’t take a picture, but the other pushrod is even more difficult to assemble, and can’t be primed after assembly, since it has studs instead of holes. I installed one end, then will prime the internals before installing the other.
