Some of my parts came in for my modified baggage door hinge. This included a strut I will use to hold the door open. I have not decided if I will use one or two yet. I also ordered some small rod ends to act as the pivot point. Here is an approximate location of the strut with the door closed. It can stay a little compressed here, helping to hold the door closed.
With the door open, the strut will be at full extension.
I also got my ignition switch in, so I would have the matched cabinet locks.
I started sketching out the hinge on the piece of angle.
After lots of cutting and grinding, I have something that is pretty close.
